|After a unsuccessful season with Millwall (the club relegated) Powel decided to cancel his contract in June 2006. Although having played for 6 months for Millwall, his goals in the first half of the season were enough to crown Powel top goalscorer in the Dutch second division with FC Den Bosch.
In August 2006, de Graafschap announced the signing of previous seasons topscorer until 2009. He moved in winter-break 2007-08 to FC Groningen.
In december 2008 Powel made a move to ADO Den Haag. He signed a contract until June 2011. In september 2009 Powel was send on loan for the 2009-10 season to his former club de Graafschap.
Returning at ADO Den Haag in July 2010, the new coach Van den Brom expressed him not being in the plans of 2010-11 and he asked and was granted a release from his contract.
At the end of August 2010 Berry Powel has signed a 1-year contract at Spanish Segunda Division club Gimnastic de Tarragona. Scoring 11 times and being the club top scorer, he earned himself a year extension. Powel extended his contract until June 2012. The latest months of his contract, he went to Huracan Valencia. In June 2012 he signed a new 2-year contract at Spanish Segunda Division club Elche CF until 2014.
The 2012-13 season was very successful for Powel and his club. The club promoted to the Primera Division and Powel made a big impact. However in summer 2013, his chances to play in the Primera Division minimized and both club and player decided to cancel his until 2014 lasting contract. 33-year old Powel became a free agent looking for new opportunities.
In January 2014, he signed for the rest of the season at Heracles Almelo on an amateur contract. A month later he moved to Roda JC on a free transfer signing a professional contract until the end of the season.
After relegation with the Roda JC club he moved on a free transfer to Kozakken Boys from the Dutch Topklasse (3rd tier). In the 2016-17 season, Powel is playing with Kozakken Boys in the Tweede Divisie (3rd tier). After a half season he moved to IJsselmeervogels.
